Miscellaneous: Joined Sherbrooke (AHL) for balance of 1986-87 season after completing his NCAA eligibility at Illinois-Chicago. ... Suspended by AHL for six games (automatic suspension) during 1988-89 season for coming off bench to join a fight during second period of Moncton's Jan. 27, 1989, game vs. Rochester. ... Traded by Winnipeg to Vancouver for Robin Bartel on Feb. 8, 1989, but never played for parent team. ... Suspended by IHL for two games during 1988-89 season for abusing linesman Gerry Burt, who was trying to restrain Husgen and teammate Curtis Hunt from fighting during Milwaukee's March 25, 1989, game at Peoria. Hunt also received a suspension, as the game made pro hockey history as the first to be called with time remaining because after being called for a number of penalties, Milwaukee did not have enough skaters eligible to play in the 8-4 loss. The game set IHL records for the most penalties called against both teams in one game (77) and most penalties called against one team in one game (46 for Milwaukee). Milwaukee drew a total of 243 penalty minutes and had nine of its 15 skaters ejected.
