Scouting Career: Named Dallas pro scout prior to 1999-00 season and remained in that position into 1999-00 season before being re-assigned to serve as assistant coach for Michigan (IHL).
Miscellaneous: Joined Winnipeg on March 7, 1986, for balance of 1985-86 season after completing his junior season at the University of North Dakota. ... Missed parts of 1992-93 season with strained lower back, suffered during Minnesota's Dec. 27, 1992, game at Winnipeg, and with sprained knee, an injury suffered during Minnesota's March 21, 1993, game vs. Detroit. ... Was on Minnesota team that relocated to Dallas on June 9, 1993. ... Missed part of 1993-94 season with mild concussion, suffered during Dallas' Oct. 20, 1993, game at Montreal.

FREE AGENCY: Berry played out his contract with Winnipeg in 1989-90 and then spent the entire 1990-91 season in Europe. He became an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 1991, and later signed with Winnipeg on October 14, 1991.
