No. 140 overall in Round 8) Scouting Career: Named Buffalo amateur scout
assigned to cover Sweden and Finland prior to 1998-99 season and remained in
that position through 2006-07 season. Miscellaneous: Became second
player in history to re-enter draft and be drafted for a second time after
having been taken eight years earlier by Boston. At age 28, he was draft
eligible again because his original draft rights had expired in 1980 and NHL
had ruled that all Europeans, regardless of age, had to enter the league
through the draft, rather than as unrestricted free agents.. ... Had
goal and assist in first NHL game. |
