North Dakota's NCAA championship-game victory over Michigan State on March
28, 1987, in Detroit. Parks' goal gave North Dakota a 4-1 lead in a game the
Sioux went on to win 5-3. ... Returned to Edmonton after his retirement and
became active in the South Side Athletic Club minor hockey association. He
eventually became vice-president of the organization, overseeing coaches and
team managers.
