Miscellaneous: Traded by Chicoutimi (QMJHL) to Sorel in exchange for
Andre Mercier in November 1980. Mercier, however, refused to play for
Chicoutimi shortly after joining the team and quit hockey altogether.
Chicoutimi chose not to demand the return of Gagne because he had been unhappy
with his playing time and the coaching staff felt he was overconfident as a
result of having been drafted by Montreal. They therefore did not want him on
their team. ... Played on line with Andre Cote and Chris Valentine for Sorel
in 1980-81. ... Was on Sorel (QMJHL)
team that folded after 1980-81 season. He was selected by Trois-Rivieres in August 1981 dispersal draft of former Sorel players. |
