AWARDS AND HONORS 1992-93: Played on Ottawa Senators expansion team. Also played on Los
Angeles team that went to Stanley Cup finals, but did not appear in Stanley
Cup Finals series vs. Montreal. Broadcasting Career: Served as
co-host of Anaheim post-game radio show while he was injured during 1993-94
season. 1993-94: Played on first Mighty
Ducks of Anaheim team.
Miscellaneous: Became an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 1990, after
New Jersey declined to pick up his option for the 1990-91 season, which was
part of the contract he had signed with Hartford in August 1989. He signed with Los Angeles on
July 11, 1990. ... Left unprotected by Los Angeles for 1991 NHL Expansion
Draft. He was claimed by Minnesota on May 30, 1991, but never played for
parent team because he was traded to Los Angeles just three weeks later. ...
Missed part of 1991-92 season with sprained right elbow, an injury suffered
during Los Angeles' Nov. 12, 1991, game at Vancouver. He did not return to
action until Los Angeles' Nov. 26, 1991, game vs. Toronto. ...
Left unprotected by Los Angeles for 1992 NHL Expansion Draft. He was claimed
by Ottawa on June 18, 1992 and then traded back to Los Angeles six months
later. ... Left unprotected by Los Angeles for 1993 NHL Expansion Draft. He
was claimed by Anaheim on June 24, 1993. ... Missed part of 1993-94 season
with sprained right shoulder, suffered during Anaheim's Oct. 10,
1993, game vs. N.Y. Islanders. He did not return to action until Anaheim's
Oct. 23, 1993, game at Montreal. ... Missed remainder of 1993-94 season and
entire 1995 season with
re-aggravation of right shoulder injury, suffered during Anaheim's Dec. 2,
1993, game at Los Angeles. The injury required season-ending reconstructive
surgery on Dec. 26, 1993. He was never able to return from the surgery and
had to retire at age 29 after signing a termination contract with Anaheim in
July 1995. |
