HOW HE GOT AWAY |
FREE AGENCY: Hallin remained in Sweden for
three years after the 1978 draft. Because he was not offered a contract, he
had the option of re-entering the draft in 1979. Instead, he
waited two more years to become a free agent and signed with
N.Y. Islanders on June 12, 1981. |
