WHA/EXPANSION: Brubaker did not sign with
Boston after the draft, instead jumping to the WHA with New England. He did not enter the NHL until the
1979 NHL-WHA merger. At that time, Boston chose not to take back Brubaker in
the 1979 NHL Reclaim Draft on June 9, 1979, and his NHL rights reverted to his
last WHA team (Hartford). |
