AWARDS AND HONORS Miscellaneous: Scored goal in his lone NHL playoff game, beating
goaltender Kelly Hrudey at 18:45 of the second period in Washington's Game 7
loss vs. N.Y. Islanders on April 18, 1987. Martin's goal, which broke a 1-1
tie, was Washington's final goal of the 1987 playoffs. The game, one of the
longest in NHL history, was
ultimately won 3-2 by the Islanders on Pat LaFontaine's goal in the fourth
overtime. |

Nejanilini Lake Lodge in northern Manitoba after his retirement. The lodge,
run by Martin and his wife, Brenda, offers fishing and hunting vacation
packages. ... Maintained year-round home in Collingwood, Ontario, after
