on March 27, 1985, at Buffalo, shares record)
1987-88: Played on Edmonton team that won Stanley Cup. His name
was engraved on the Cup because he appeared in playoffs, but he did not play
in any Stanley Cup Finals games vs. Boston.
Miscellaneous: Made NHL debut in Game 5 of Buffalo's Adams Division finals
series at Boston. ... Made his NHL regular-season debut in Buffalo's Oct. 5,
1983, game vs. Hartford, which was also Buffalo's 1983-84 season-opener. ...
Missed part of 1983-84 season with charley horse. ... Tied N.Y. Rangers record
for fastest goal from the start of a game when he intercepted a Mike Ramsey
pass and drove a 50-foot slap shot past Bob Sauve just nine seconds into
Rangers' March 27, 1985, game at Buffalo. It was Wiemer's first game back in
Buffalo since being traded over three months earlier. ... Missed part of
