AWARDS AND HONORS Scouting Career: Named N.Y. Rangers amateur
scout (Western Canada) in September 1986 and remained in that position through
1989-90 season. ... Named N.Y. Rangers amateur scout for all of Canadian
major-junior hockey as well as special European duties, prior to 1990-91
season and remained in position until Aug. 21, 1996. Management Career:
Named N.Y. Islanders head amateur scout on Aug. 21, 1996, and remained in that position
into 2003-04 season.
Miscellaneous: Played key role in convincing N.Y. Rangers to use their
1991 first-round pick on Alexei Kovalev after scouting Kovalev extensively
during the 1990-91 season. |

1980-81 season with ligament damage in right knee, an injury suffered during
Victoria's Oct. 18, 1980, WHL game vs. Lethbridge. ... Missed remainder of
1985-86 season with eye injury, suffered during New Haven's Dec. 31, 1985, AHL
game vs. Nova Scotia. The injury ended his career. Personal: Full name is Anthony
