1980-81:
Played on first Calgary Flames team.
Miscellaneous: Was youngest player to make Calgary roster out of training camp in 1980. ... Had three assists in his first NHL game, which was also the first game in Calgary Flames history. He played that game on a line with Kent Nilsson and Willi Plett. ... Played on line with Guy Chouinard and Lanny McDonald for Calgary in 1981-82. ... Played center for Calgary during parts of 1981-82 season. ... Missed part of 1982-83 season with separated shoulder, an injury suffered in December 1982. ... Released by Los Angeles in August 1984 and became unrestricted free agent. He signed with St. Louis on Aug. 24, 1984. ... Played on line with Bernie Federko and Joe Mullen for St. Louis in 1984-85. ... Missed remainder of 1984-85 season and entire 1985 playoffs with torn MCL in left knee, an injury suffered when he was checked by Robert Picard during St. Louis' Jan. 18, 1985, game at Winnipeg. The injury required season-ending surgery on Jan. 25, 1985. ... St. Louis bought out final year of LaVallee's contract in August 1986, making him an unrestricted free agent. He signed with Pittsburgh on Sept. 10, 1986. ... Missed remainder of 1986-87 season with right shoulder injury, requiring surgery on Feb. 5, 1987.
