Miscellaneous: Scored goal in his first NHL game. The goal, at 9:13 of the second period, beat Philadelphia goaltender Pete Peeters. ... Score goal on first shot in his first playoff game during Game 5 of Minnesota's first-round series at Buffalo on April 22, 1981. ... Traded by Minnesota to Detroit for future considerations on March 8, 1983. Detroit later returned Solheim to Minnesota to cancel the future considerations on Sept. 20, 1984, meaning Solheim was essentially loaned to Detroit for the 1983-84 season and would have stayed there had he met conditions of the original deal.
