AWARDS AND HONORS Miscellaneous: Joined Ulf Isaksson as first European-born and trained
players to sign and play for Los Angeles Kings. ... Missed most of 1982-83
season with broken left wrist, suffered during Los Angeles' Oct. 23,
1982, game
vs. Hartford. Although he made a brief return in the AHL, being re-assigned
to New Haven on Feb. 10, 1983, he re-injured the wrist during his
conditioning stint with the Nighthawks in March 1983 and never made it back
to
NHL. The injury required extensive corrective surgery to repair bone damage
in April 1983. He attended Los Angeles' 1983 training camp but was unable to
fully come back from the wrist injury and opted to retire early in the
season. |
