... Missed part of 1984-85 season with strained knee ligaments, an injury
suffered in February 1985. ... Traded by New Jersey to Boston in exchange
for 1988 10th-round pick (Alexander Semak) on March 8, 1988, but never
played for parent team. ... Played for New England (RHI, InLine league) in
1994. ... Cleared by International Ice Hockey Federation to play for
Japanese host team at 1998 Nagano Olympics on Dec. 4, 1997, because he was
of Japanese descent with grandparents who had immigrated to Canada from Kita
Kyushu and Kanagawa. He was also deemed eligible because he had played in
Japan in a season prior to 1997-98. Tsujiura maintained his permanent
residence in Portland, Maine, while he coached Japan, communicating with his
players through an interpreter, since he spoke no Japanese.
