the third period, beat Detroit goaltender Gilles Gilbert. ... Missed remainder
of 1981-82 season and entire 1982 playoffs with torn knee ligaments, an injury
suffered during Vancouver's Jan. 2, 1982, game at Washington. The injury
required season-ending surgery. ... Tied with Paul Coffey for NHL lead in
