1984-85: Played four regular-season games for Edmonton team that went
on to win Stanley Cup, but was not with team during playoffs. Scouting
Career: Named Buffalo pro scout prior to 1996-97 season and remained in
that position through 1997-98 season. ... Named Colorado pro scout on July 12,
2006, and remained in that position through 2006-07 season. Coaching
Career: Named Buffalo assistant coach on July 18, 1995, and remained in
that position through 1995-96 season. Management Career: Named
Buffalo Director of Pro Scouting prior to 1998-99 season and remained in
that position until July 12, 2006.
Miscellaneous: Roommate of Danny Gare during 1976-77 and 1977-78
seasons. ... Missed most of 1977-78 season with leg injury. ... Wore No. 23
at Quebec's 1979 training camp. ... Missed three weeks of 1983-84 season
with food poisoning contracted in a New York deli in November
1983. Lost 15 pounds from the illness, which also hit teammates Gary Nylund and Greg Terrion. Martin suffered the most, ending up in a New York
hospital's intensive care unit. |

remained in that position through 1988-89 season. ... Named Rochester (AHL)
assistant coach prior to 1989-90 season and remained in that position until
July 18, 1995. Management Career:
Named Toronto (OHL) general manager and governor prior to 1987-88 season and
remained in that position through 1988-89 season. Miscellaneous: Missed most of 1984-85 season with
separated shoulder, an injury suffered while playing for Nova Scotia (AHL) in
January 1985. ... Ran hockey school in his hometown of Barrie, Ontario, during
off-seasons of his playing days and later became a part-owner of the Barrie
