Missed parts of 1982-83 season with bruised ribs, an injury suffered in December 1982, and eye injury suffered on March 2, 1983. His eye was hit by a deflected puck off the stick of Edmonton's Glenn Anderson. ... Paired on defense with rookie Scott Stevens for Washington in 1982-83. ... Became first Washington player to play more than 1,000 minutes in a season at home, a feat he achieved in 1982-83. ...
