broken left collarbone (fractured in three places), an injury
suffered in Washington's Oct. 27, 1982, game at Pittsburgh. He did not return
to action until Feb. 16, 1983. ... Missed remainder of 1982-83 season and
entire 1983 playoffs with re-fractured left collarbone, an injury suffered
when he collided with Jim Fox during Washington's Feb. 19, 1983, game at Los
Angeles. ... Served as unofficial Washington assistant coach while out with
injury during 1982-83 season. ... Missed part of 1983-84 season with broken
ribs, an injury suffered during Washington's Feb. 11, 1984, game vs.
Philadelphia. ... Missed part of 1984-85 season with bruised ribs, an injury
suffered in January 1985. ... Missed part of 1986-87 season with right forearm
injury, suffered when he tripped on one of his children's toys and cut himself
on a glass table in his home on Jan. 15, 1987. The injury required

on the night before the team's final Campbell Conference final series playoff
