Vancouver goaltender Glen Hanlon at 8:26 of the first period, was also the
first goal of St. Louis' 1979-80 season and the first in the NHL's 1979-80
season because it came on opening night. ... Missed part of 1982-83 season
with knee injury, suffered in October 1982. ... Beat Red Wings goaltender Ken
Holland on a penalty shot during Hartford's Feb. 1, 1984, game at Detroit. ...
Missed remainder of 1984-85 season with strained MCL in right knee, an injury
suffered during Hartford's Jan. 31, 1985, game at Los Angeles. ... Played
center for N.Y. Rangers during 1986 playoffs. ... Missed part of 1986-87
