1981-82 season with broken hand, an injury he suffered twice. ... Had his No.
16 retired by Toledo in 1985. ... Found dead in Toledo's Maumee River on
Jan. 9, 2006, after last having been seen at 2:30 a.m. on New Year's Day. He
had been listed as a missing person since Jan. 2, 2006. ...Tantardini's
ex-wife had told investigators that he had been suffering from depression,
and the local coroner's office concluded that his death was likely a suicide
and not the result of foul play. |
