Played 18 regular-season games for N.Y. Rangers team that went on to Stanley Cup Finals, but was not with team during playoffs.
Miscellaneous: Traded to Philadelphia on Feb. 17, 1977, but never played for parent team. ... Signed as free agent by St. Louis on July 22, 1978, but never played for parent team. ... Traded by St. Louis to Montreal in exchange for rights to restricted free agent Gord McTavish on Oct. 7, 1978, but Montreal left him unprotected for 1978 NHL Waiver Draft and he was claimed by N.Y. Rangers two days later. Montreal received Dan Newman as compensation after the Rangers signed Korney for the 1978-79 season.
