champion (Kalamazoo). Also played three games for Saginaw team that went on to
win IHL playoff title, but was not with team during postseason.
Miscellaneous: Was on Phoenix (CHL) team that folded on Dec. 13, 1977.
... Was playing for Tucson when PHL folded after 1978-79 regular season. ...
Returned to Winnipeg and became a police officer (constable) after retirement,
serving in police force until March 2002.
Personal: Nicknamed "Butch." ... Older brother of former NHL
player Bruce Eakin. |
