HOW HE GOT AWAY
TRADE: Vancouver sent Bannerman to Chicago to complete a Nov. 4, 1977, trade that sent Pit Martin to Vancouver for future considerations. Bannerman, the future considerations part of the Martin deal, went to Chicago on May 27, 1978. Vancouver had a choice of giving up Bannerman or Glen Hanlon, and the Canucks picked Bannerman.
