Miscellaneous: Played on line with Walt McKechnie and Dan Maloney for
Toronto when called up to NHL in 1979. ... Played on "Kid Line" with Laurie
Boschman and John Anderson for Toronto in 1979-80. ... Was first player
acquired in trade by Eddie Johnston after Johnston became Pittsburgh general
manager. Johnston had been Saganiuk's coach at New Brunswick (AHL) in 1978-79.
... Missed parts of 1983-84 season with sinus problems and with back injury
suffered when he was checked by Montreal's Craig Ludwig in January 1984. The

Tremblay to Pittsburgh in exchange for Pat Graham and Nick Ricci on August 15,
1983. One year lager, Toronto got Saganiuk back when he signed with the Maple
Leafs as an unrestricted free agent on August 21, 1984. |
