Education: Attended University of Minnesota Duluth before turning pro after his sophomore year.

Career Beyond Hockey: Went to work for the municipality of McKilltop, Saskatchewan, after his retirement. He later worked in his hometown of Strasbourg as a breeder of mule deer for big-game hunters -- running a business called Mountain View Mulies that he founded in 1999. He ran the business along with his son until he lost a battle with cancer and passed away at age 62 in December 2013.

Family: Older brother of former major-junior player Garland Hubick.

Selected by Minnesota Fighting Saints in 1972 WHA Draft, the first WHA Draft, February 1972. Shifted from defense to left wing for Nova Scotia (AHL) during 1974-75 season. Called up to Montreal from Nova Scotia in 1975 playoffs as one of six standby players. Dressed for Game 3 and 4 of Montreal's 1975 playoff series vs. Vancouver, but did not play.
