Career Highlights

Tied WHL record for fastest two goals by one player when he scored twice for Denver in a six-second span on Nov. 2, 1972, at Salt Lake City. The goals came at 8:22 and 8:28 of the third period, cutting an 8-3 lead to 8-5. The two goals completed a hat trick and marked the first time in nearly 16 years that a WHL player had scored twice in six seconds. ... Named WHL Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 5, 1972, after getting four goals and one assist in three games for Denver. ... Tied for fifth in WHL with 34 goals in only 49 games in 1972-73. ... Named to WHL All-Star Second Team with Denver in 1972-73.

Significant Injuries

Missed part of 1972-73 season with leg injury, suffered while playing for Denver (WHL). ... Suffered career-ending head and neck injury when he collided with Andre Dupont along the boards during Washington's Dec. 3, 1976, game vs. Philadelphia. Lampman's fall resulted in abnormal slippage of the fifth and sixth vertebrae, and the injury required surgery.
