1987-88: Played on IHL regular-season champion (Muskegon).
Miscellaneous: Missed part of 1986-87 season with charley horse, an injury suffered in December 1986. ... Suffered a seizure while playing for Berlin in September 1996 and swallowed his tongue before his life was saved by trainers. ... Died at age 31 from pulmonary embolism after collapsing in a stadium parking lot following an April 19, 1998 German First Division playoff semifinal game between Bad Nauheim and Iserlohn. Teevens, who had not played in the game, because he had been getting over pneumonia. He was initially revived after he collapsed, but subsequently died while being taken to the hospital.
