through the entry draft, rather than as unrestricted free agents. At the
time of the draft, it was already known that Chalupa would be released to the NHL for
the 1984-85 season under Czechoslovakia's policy of letting veterans over
age 30 go to North America. ... Finished third in voting for Czechoslovakian
MVP honors in 1983-84. ... Honored as Master of Sports by Czechoslovakian
hockey federation. |
