Missed part of 1984-85 season with torn ligaments in right knee, suffered during Detroit's Nov. 30, 1984, game vs. St. Louis. The injury required surgery, and Trader did not return to the Detroit lineup until a Feb. 9, 1985, game vs. Edmonton after having played in Adirondack (AHL) on a conditioning assignment from Jan. 30, 1985, to Feb. 8, 1985. ... Wore No. 24 in Detroit's 1985 training camp. ... Missed part of 1987-88 season with strained ligaments in right knee, suffered in November 1987. ... Signed with Hartford as an unrestricted free agent on Aug. 3, 1988, but never played for parent team.
