the first period, beat Washington goaltender Al Jensen. It was also the first
goal of the game in a 5-3 Capitals win. He also scored a goal on his second
NHL shot and on his third NHL shot. ... Missed part of 1985-86 season with
sprained knee, suffered during N.Y. Islanders' Dec. 6, 1985, game at Quebec.
... Missed part of 1986-87 season with torn shoulder muscle, an injury
suffered during N.Y. Islanders' March 13, 1987, game at New Jersey. ... Missed
remainder of 1987-88 season with broken left thumb and dislocated right
wrist, suffered in his
final NHL game with N.Y. Islanders on Jan. 8, 1988, at Calgary. ... Released
by N.Y. Islanders on June 30, 1988. ... Retired following postseason surgery
