AWARDS AND HONORS 1983-84: Played one regular-season game for Edmonton team that went on
to win Stanley Cup, but was not with team during postseason.
Miscellaneous: Scored only NHL point in his final NHL game for Edmonton vs. New Jersey on
Nov. 19, 1983. Edmonton won the game 13-4, and after the game Wayne Gretzky ignited a controversy by calling the Devils a "Mickey Mouse
organization." ... Quit Edmonton organization when he walked out of
team's training camp in October 1985. The Oilers held his rights for two
months before trading him. ... Traded by Edmonton with Larry Melnyk to N.Y. Rangers
for Mike Rogers on Dec. 20, 1985, but never played for parent team. |
