HOW HE GOT AWAY |
WHA/EXPANSION: Micheletti did not sign with
Montreal, instead jumping to
the WHA. When the NHL and WHA merged in 1979, Montreal chose not to take him
back in the NHL Reclaim Draft. His rights were retained by Edmonton, his last
WHA team, on June 9, 1979. Two months later, on Aug. 7, 1979, Edmonton traded Micheletti to St.
Louis in exchange for Tom Roulston and Risto Siltanen. |
