- Had two goals and four assists for Flin Flon
(WCHL) in 11-2 win vs. Edmonton on Jan. 31, 1971.

Also played right wing during his pro career.
- Changed his name to Jim Cole after the 1972-73 season.
- Requested to try out for Winnipeg (WHA) in 1975, but his request
was denied because the team was holding its training camp in Europe.
- Had eight-point game for La Broquerie (Manitoba Sr.)
with a three-goal and five-assist performance in a 12-7 win over
Transcona on Feb. 15, 1976.
- Joined Winnipeg (WHA) for two games in January 1977, making his
debut in Winnipeg's Jan. 29, 1977, game at San Diego and assisting
on a goal by Wily Lindstrom in the second of a 5-3 loss. He then
played the following night in an 8-5 loss at Phoenix.
- Won CASHL Most Valuable Player award with Steinbach
(Manitoba Sr.) in 1980-81.
- Inducted into Manitoba Hockey Hall of
Fame as member of 1973-74 Warroad Lakers, the first U.S. team to win
the Hardy Cup (Canadian Intermediate), in 2011.

Career Beyond Hockey: Went to
work as an aircraft mechanic with the Manitoba Government Air Division
after his retirement from senior hockey before getting opportunity to
play briefly for Winnipeg Jets under a 10-game tryout contract signed on
Jan. 28, 1977, because he had been performing so well for the
senior-league team in St. Boniface (Manitoba Eastern Hockey League).
