over Seattle on Jan. 6, 1973. The team record still stood when the
league folded after the 1973-74 season.
- Named
WHL Player of Week for week ending Jan. 7, 1973, after scoring seven
points in two games for Salt Lake.
- Claimed by Phoenix (WHL, Toronto affiliate) from
California for $7,500 fee in Reverse Draft on June 13, 1973.
- Played three games for 1973-74 Phoenix team that went on to win
WHL regular-season and playoff titles, but was not with team during
postseason.
- Loaned by Phoenix (WHL) to Tulsa (CHL) on Oct. 30, 1973.
- Loaned by Phoenix (WHL) to St.
Petersburg for balance of 1973-74 season in November 1973.
- Was member of St. Petersburg (Suncoast) Suns (SHL) team
that folded on Dec. 19, 1973. The SHL held a special dispersla draft
for the Suns players, and Beck was claimed by Charlotte.He chose not
to join Charlotte and instead went to finish the season with Muskegon (IHL).

Prince Edward Island Sports Hall of Fame along with 1970-71
Charlottetown Islanders teammates in 1976.

Career Beyond Hockey: Returned
home to Charlottetown after his retirement and continued playing senior
league hockey for more than 10 years while following in his father's
footsteps by completing his education and becoming a psychiatrist.
