Also played left wing during his pro career, beginning in 1972-73 season. ... Scored four goals for Baltimore (AHL) in team's 6-1 home win vs. Providence on Dec. 7, 1971. Three goals came in the second period, and he had a natural hat trick in scoring the game's first three goals over the first 37:41 to earn AHL Player of Week honors. ... Finished sixth in AHL in goals (37) and tied for sixth in points (81) with Baltimore in 1971-72, leading his own team in points. ... Named to AHL All-Star First Team with Baltimore in 1971-72, leading all AHL players in the All-Star voting. ... Scored four goals for California in 11-3 home win over Vancouver on Jan. 3, 1973, becoming the first player in franchise history to have a four-goal game (a record that was tied by others but still stood when the franchise folded in 1978). The goals came at 8:21 of the first period for a 1-1 tie, at 14:36 of the second to make it 5-2, at 4:03 of the third for an 8-3 lead, and at 9:15 of the third to put the Seals up 10-3. ... Was a member of the first Washington Capitals team during franchise's inaugural 1974-75 season but did not play in the team's first-ever game. He made his Capitals debut in the team's second game of the season at Minnesota.

May 1976 -- Signed WHA contract with Edmonton as an unrestricted free agent because the team that had held his rights (former Los Angeles franchise) had folded. Sept. 20, 1977 -- Traded by Edmonton with Dan Arndt and Chris Evans to Birmingham in exchange for Lou Nistico and Jeff Jacques. December 1977 -- Signed with Los Angeles as an unrestricted free agent.
