in N.Y. Islanders' Oct. 17, 1984, game at Detroit and
re-aggravated in N.Y. Islanders' Jan. 19, 1985, game at Los Angeles. The
injury required surgery on eb. 1, 1985, and Kortko did not return to
action until N.Y. Islanders' March 7, 1985, game at New Jersey. ... Missed
part of 1985-86 season with the flu, contracted in November 1985. ... Missed
remainder of 1985-86 season and entire 1986 playoffs with strained left
knee, suffered during N.Y. Islanders' March 25, 1986, game vs. St. Louis.
... Signed
with Hartford as unrestricted free agent in July 1987, but never
played for parent team. ... Released by Hartford on June 8, 1989, after team
bought out the option year of his contract. |

Returned to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, after his retirement and became a
