Pirates (PIJHL) in 1981, renamed team the North
Delta Flyers (PIJHL) and served as owner-governor into 2002-03 season. The
team is a developmental squad for South Surrey of the BCHL. Miscellaneous: Played on "Kid Line"
with Joe Noris and Kevin Devine for San Diego in 1975-76. ... Missed part of
1977-78 season with back injury. ... Was on Cincinnati (CHL)
team that folded on Dec. 17, 1979. ... Missed part of 1980-81 season with
pulled groin muscle, an injury suffered in Houston's Dec. 20, 1980, game vs.
Wichita. ... Was on Houston (CHL) team that folded
on Jan. 8, 1981. ... Returned to Vancouver area and went into business after
his retirement, founding Tidey's in 1980. The North Vancouver-based company began by
installing door-viewers, then moved into locksmith business. The
company, which now has multiple stores, shifted into engraving,
specializing in the production of trophies and the engraving of
jewelry. Tidey opened a second store to focus on the trophies and named it
Tidey's Creative Trophies. ... Played for Vancouver Canucks alumni team after
