HOW HE GOT AWAY |
FREE AGENCY: Wilson left the Toronto
organization after the 1979-80 season and spent the next five years in
Switzerland. He returned to North America on loan to Minnesota from
Switzerland's Davos team on March 6, 1985. He came back to Minnesota on a
similar loan in March 1986. Minnesota eventually loaned Craig Levie to Davos
on July 8, 1986, in order to get Wilson's services for the entire 1986-87
season. He completed his NHL career on another loan from Davos in 1988. |
