manager on May 16, 2005, and remained in that position through 2006-07 season. Miscellaneous: Named NHL Player of Week for
week of March 1-7, 1982. ... Gave up Steve Yzerman's first NHL goal on Oct. 5,
1983. ... Set Winnipeg record (since broken) with 47 games in goal in 1983-84.
... Was pulled after two periods of Montreal's Feb. 23, 1985, game vs.
Winnipeg and replaced by rookie Patrick Roy in Roy's first NHL appearance. Soetaert came out with the game tied 4-4, and Roy went on to record the 6-4
victory. ... Missed part of 1985-86 season with sprained ligaments in both
knees, an injury suffered in Montreal's Feb. 17, 1986, game vs. Los Angeles.
Did not return to action until March 17, 1986. ... Had name engraved on
Stanley Cup as member of 1985-86 Montreal team, but did not appear in any
