Invested in and helped found Consolidated Resource Recovery, Inc., during his
final NHL years. The company, based in Sarasota, Fla., specializes in the
recycling of wood and other organic materials. Halward joined the company
full-time upon retirement and eventually became its president and Director of
Envirowaste. ... Still working for Consolidated, Halward took on another
entrepreneurial effort, becoming president and director of The Answer Garden
Products Ltd., which produced soil products. Personal: Nicknamed "Hawk." ...

in exchange for future considerations on September 18, 1978. The future
considerations that Los Angeles owed Boston were later factored into a trade
