Miscellaneous: Played on Indianapolis (WHA) team that folded on Dec.
15, 1978, and was one of Wayne Gretzky's first professional teammates. His
rights were sold to New England (WHA) by the cash-strapped Indianapolis team
when it folded. ... Came into NHL with Hartford when NHL and WHA merged in
1979. N.Y. Islanders chose not to take him back in the NHL Reclaim Draft. His
NHL rights reverted to his last WHA team, New England/Hartford, on June 9,
1979.
