playoff games for Montreal team that went on to win Stanley Cup. Did not have
his name engraved on trophy, although he was given a Stanley Cup ring. 1976-77: Played four
regular-season games for Montreal team that went on to win Stanley Cup. Coaching
Career: Named Buffalo associate coach in August 1990 and remained in that
position through 1991-92 season. ... Named Los Angeles assistant coach on July
17, 2002.
Miscellaneous: Was unhappy with his playing time in Montreal, and made
several requests to be traded. ... Missed part of 1976-77 season with knee
injury that required surgery. ... Became first player traded to Buffalo after
Scotty Bowman took over as team's general manager, when he was dealt from
Colorado for Rene
Robert on Oct. 5, 1979. ... Played right wing during part of 1979-80 season.
... Set Buffalo records (all since broken) for goals (18), assists (51) and
