Coaching Career: Worked as a
youth hockey coach in the Buffalo area for many years after his
retirement and served as head coach of multiple teams in various age
groups of the Amherst Youth Hockey Association.
Education: Attended University of
Alberta, where he studied teaching.
Career Beyond Hockey: Returned to
the Buffalo area and went into the insurance and financial-services
business after his retirement. He eventually became a registered
representative of MetLife Securities Inc.
Family: Older brother of former major-junior and Canadian university player Rick Wyrozub.
Missed part of 1970-71 season with broken collarbone and eye injury, suffered when he fell awkwardly into the boards after being checked by Guy Lapointe early in the first period of Buffalo's Nov. 15, 1970, game vs. Montreal. He did not return until the final two months of the season, which he spent with Salt Lake (WHL).
