Played right wing for much of his NHL career, but was a left wing during his final years with Minnesota. ... Played on Omaha teams that won 1969-70 and 1970-71 CHL regular-season titles. ... Won CHL Adams Cup with Omaha in 1970 and 1971. ... Led CHL in goals (46) and points (92) in 1970-71. ... Named to 1970-71 CHL All-Star First Team. ... Set N.Y. Rangers record (since tied) for fastest two goals, scoring twice in eight seconds vs. California on Nov. 21, 1971, at Madison Square Garden. Nov. 28, 1973 -- Traded by Toronto to Detroit for Tim Ecclestone. Nov. 25, 1975 -- Traded by Detroit to Minnesota for Don Martineau. March 1978 -- Traded by Minnesota with Chris Ahrens to Edmonton (WHA) for future considerations (cash). June 1978 -- Selected by Indianapolis from Edmonton in 1978 WHA Intraleague Draft.Aug. 31, 1978 -- Released by Indianapolis (WHA), making him an unrestricted free agent although he opted to retire rather than sign with another team.
Missed parts of 1973-74 season with concussion and rib injury ... Missed remainder of 1976-77 season with torn ligaments in right knee, an injury suffered during Minnesota's Nov. 20, 1976, game vs. Toronto. He hurt the knee in a collision with Maple Leafs defenseman Brian Glennie. The injury required season-ending surgery, although he was back skating by the end of the regular-season but deemed not ready to play.
