CIAU All-Canadian: 1983-84 (Prince Edward Island)
Miscellaneous: Played for Windsor and Oshawa (OHL) as an overage junior
in 1982-83. ... Hired Oshawa general manager Sherry Bassin as his agent prior to 1982-83, even though Bassin was running Oshawa team.
... Quit Windsor (OHL) in December 1982, but team retained his rights until
he was traded to Oshawa in exchange for Jack Woods in January 1983. The deal
was arranged by Gravel's agent, Sherry Bassin, in order to get Gravel back
into the league. The trade drew fire from other OHL general managers who
accused Bassin of having told Gravel to quit Windsor in order to lower his
trade value. ... Left UPEI in 1987 with university record (since broken) for
career points (213). ... Became minor hockey coach in Nova Scotia after his
retirement. |
