Won his first NHL start, beating Edmonton 3-2 on Dec. 10, 1983, at Vancouver. ... Missed half of 1984-85 season with torn hamstring muscle, suffered during Vancouver's Dec. 1, 1984, game at Los Angeles. He did not return to action until Vancouver's Feb. 27, 1985, game at Detroit. ... Missed part of 1985-86 season with knee injury, suffered in December 1985. ... Became first goaltender in Vancouver history to win a game at Calgary Saddledome when he achieved that feat on Jan. 17, 1987. ... Traded by Vancouver to Boston in exchange for 1989 12th-round pick (Jan Bergman) on June 17, 1989, but never played for parent team.
