exchange for Kevin Conway, Blake Stephan, Grant Rezansoff and Steve Harrison
in February 1985. ... Missed part of 1985-86 season with broken thumb, an
injury suffered in December 1985. ... Traded by Salt Lake (IHL) to
Indianapolis in exchange for Kelly Elcombe in January 1986. ... Founded North
American Sports, Inc., in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1989. The company, which he
ran until 1997, specialized in recruiting North American pro hockey players
for teams in European leagues.
Personal: Younger brother of former NHL player Scot Kleinendorst. The
Kleinendorst brothers, born a mere 11 months apart, were the first pair of
brothers, and only non-twin North American brothers, drafted into the NHL in the same year. |
