Career: Named Toronto assistant coach on Aug. 8, 1989, and remained in
that position until July 9, 1998. ... Named St. Louis assistant coach on
Sept. 1, 1998, and remained in that position until Feb. 24, 2004. ... Named
St. Louis head coach on Feb. 24, 2004.
Miscellaneous: Was property of Kansas City organization when franchise
relocated to Colorado on July 15, 1976. ... Missed part of 1978-79 season with
broken left wrist. ... Was on Colorado team that relocated to New Jersey on
June 30, 1982. ... Was only player in Kansas City/Colorado/New Jersey
franchise history to relocate twice with team and be part of organization in
all three cities. ... Missed part of 1983-84 season with hip pointer and thigh
pull, an injury suffered during New Jersey's Jan. 15, 1984, game vs. Edmonton.
... Missed remainder of 1983-84 season after severing tendon in right middle
finger during New Jersey's Feb. 11, 1984, game at Pittsburgh. The injury
