A two-way player who was committed enough to improving his defensive game to leave home for Canada at age 17. Not a big-time goal-scorer, but he goes to the front of the net and uses impressive size -- inherited from his dad -- to help create more chances for teammates.

Will enter the University of Minnesota as a
freshman in fall of 2015. He had originally committed to attend
Minnesota on Nov. 27, 2013, and was eligible to be part of the 2014-15
freshman class. However, he delayed his college entry to further develop
his game with an additional season in BCHL and eventually get more
playing time with the Gophers, who were already loaded at forward for
the 2014-15 season.
Family: Son of former NHL player Mike Ramsey, who was also a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic "Miracle on Ice" team
and was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001. ... Younger
brother of University of Minnesota women's hockey All-American player
Rachel Ramsey.
